Purple Disco Machine: la divertentissima eleganza di “Hypnotized”

Quando la dance incontra l’indie, a volte, accade la magia. Ne sa qualcosa Purple Disco Machine, producer tedesco che ha infiammato l’estate grazie al singolo “Hypnotized“, realizzato con la collaborazione dei Sophie and Giants e pubblicato l’8 aprile 2020 per Sweat It Out-Sony Music.

Un brano, lo dice già il titolo, assolutamente magnetico, che ha venduto la bellezza di 70.00 copie vendute, ricevendo proprio la scorsa settimana la certificazione di disco di Platino, riconoscimento che va a coniugarsi con le 45 milioni di streaming nelle piattaforme digitali e le oltre tre milioni di visualizzazioni di YouTube.

Il motivo di tale successo? L’eleganza, la poca prevedibilità, la squisita combinazione della voce sottile e allo stesso profonda della cantante britannica con l’irresistibile tappeto sonoro confezionato da Mr. Tino Piontek, impreziosito nella strofa da un giro di passo ipnotico, nomen omen, e da un mood generale funkeggiante assolutamente centrato, in perfetto equilibrio tra ricerca e divertimento. Lontana (e meno male) la formula (abusatissima) voce femminile a larga estensione + hook potente a cassa dritta. Ampiamente promosso.
