“Little something”, Melody Gardot torna in scena in duetto con Sting

Un duetto con Sting per lanciare in grande stile il nuovo album in uscita il prossimo 23 ottobre: così Melody Gardot, si presenta nuovamente al proprio pubblico dopo un silenzio durato ben cinque anni.

Sonorità pop e ritmi latineggianti caratterizzano il duetto fra la Gardot e Sting, le cui inconfondibili voci si amalgamano alla perfezione. I due artisti hanno scritto di loro pugno la canzone, con la collaborazione del chitarrista Dominic Miller e del produttore francese Jen Jis.

Presentando il loro duetto, tanto Sting quando Melody Gardot si sono detti entusiasti del lavoro. “Questa nuova canzone – ha detto Sting – è permeata da un’allegria contagiosa, ed è stato molto divertente intrecciare la mia voce con quella, deliziosa, di Melody Gardot. Spero che si percepisca il nostro sorriso mentre cantiamo”.
“Durante questi tempi tanto complicati – ha aggiunto Melody – collaborare è l’unica salvezza per noi musicisti. È stata una tale sorpresa quando Jen Jis si è presentato con questa traccia, e scoprire poi che si trattava di un duetto con Sting! Se da un lato riconosco che sia qualcosa di lontano dal mio genere abituale, mi allettava l’idea di mettermi alla prova con qualcosa di nuovo… questa è la musica!”.
